So this is me, Hannah a florist who loves beautiful natural and wild looking flowers!
I do my bit by using sustainable practises, no floral foam, less single use plastic and more planet friendly products. I use only the best and most enchanting flowers and foliage, I also grow a small selection of my own cut flowers plus trying to use as many British flowers as I can as well as the most beautiful imported flowers too.
I have over 10 years experience in floristry, not only in shops and freelance for weddings, but also for films too! Flowers are an obsession of mine, I can’t even go out for walks without pointing out a wild flower, I’m also slightly obsessed with biscuits and tea... my favourite being custard creams, specifically separating them in half and making a double decker custard cream!
Tawny Flower Studio was born in lockdown 2020 after my parents needing help at their plant nursery delivering plants.
Coming from a floristry background it just made sense to follow my dreams and start my own business, with sustainability being important to me as a consumer i had to also incorporate it into my own business, so growing some of my own cut flowers was a no brainer especially as I’m based at the family business plant nursery!
It is my aim to take the approach to be as environmentally friendly as possible, using recyclable packing/gift wrap, using little to no floral foam in any of my installations and wedding work, keeping it as natural and single use plastic free as possible plus using suppliers that are eco conscious too. I also recycle any leftover wedding flowers by sending them off to the London Confetti Club charity for them to make into flower confetti and then any stems leftover are given back to the ground and composted!
